Well, here we are sitting in a lovely cove on the Southwest corner of Eleuthera Island. We went exploring yesterday and found the most beautiful resort in the next cove over. We had sailed past it when we came in and it looked abandoned, yet all the lawn chairs were sitting out on the beach. We found that the resort has been built by the Bahaman government and rented out to different cruise lines.
The cruise ship comes in for the day, dumps all the people on the beach where they proceed to drink, eat, and turn bright red. Five hours later the cruise ship picks them up and off they go. Amazing.
The resort is beautiful, but there are no overnight facilities. Jeannie suggested we crash the party today and get a free meal. There are at least six buffet lines that we counted so we are going to try to fit in.
(Son, if you don't hear from me within a couple days, call the Bahaman government, I will have been arrested ... just kidding ... I hope.)
Well, wish us luck.
I plan on leaving tomorrow and doing a short 3 hr. sail over to another lovely cove. Then it will be dayhops down to Turks and Caicos. I don't think we will have to do any more overnighters.
